ZKS Booking System

For instruments and working areas  the ZKS implemented a online booking system:

This link only works if you are in the University network or using VPN to get into the University network.

In this room booking system, you will find the area for booking the equipment (ZKS-Intruments), an area for  booking the workspaces (ZKS-Workspaces), one for the CO2 incubators (ZKS-CO2 Incubators) and a dedicated area for booking qPCR intruments (ZKS-qPCR instruments).

Booking of the equipment is obligatory for the qPCR instruments and recommended for all other instruments. Routine diagnostics and exceptional projects will have some priority.

By double-click on a time slot a reservation windows with multiple functions will open. For the moment there will be the same login and password for all users, so please do not modify/cancel entries of other users without pre-agreement. Therefore, when booking a time slot, please always give your name and phone number.

 

Concerning the ABI 7500Fast qPCR instruments:

  1. When planning to use one of the instruments, as we have two different ones in the same room, you should book both the room and the instrument online (by changing the area/calendar from ZKS-Labs to ZKS-qPCR Instruments) taking into account the instrument run time. Otherwise you might find a free slot for the room, but all three instruments are already running. A time slot of half an hour should be sufficient to load and start the instrument as well as to save the run files on your memory stick at the end of the run.
  2. All data analysis and printing, has to be done on PCs/laptops and printers outside of the ZKS; the software for analysis of real-time PCR data can be downloaded for free (https://www.thermofisher.com/ch/en/home/technical-resources/software-downloads/applied-biosystems-7500-real-time-pcr-system.html), after registration to the site and entering one of the serial numbers of the instruments (275011639,  275014998).
